3D printing as old as it is, is still new to some but it has been picked up as a quick hobby for man(y people ready to start building. Getting a 3D printed case is super simple, here is where to get your own.

If you are looking for a already made 3D design head to thingiverse.com. You can click here to go directly to the search for “raspberry pi”. If you are really lazy click here to go directly to a simple recommended case made by Normand.
Instructions
Have a 3D Printer
If you have a 3D printer already that is great and most likely you will not even need this guide but in any case you do need this…
- Go to thingiverse.com and search “raspberry pi” in the search box
- Click on the design that you want
- Download the file
- Click the “Download All Files” to download all file(s) as a .zip file that needs to be extracted
- Click on “Thing Files” and click on a file to download them individually (good for download or parts of a project).
Do Not Have a 3D Printer
If you do not have a 3D printer, this will work for you too. The process is the same for downloading the file from Thingiverse but you will need to use a 3D printing service to get you case printed.
Part 1
- Go to thingiverse.com and search “raspberry pi” in the search box
- Click on the design that you want
- Download the file
- Click the “Download All Files” to download all file(s) as a .zip file that needs to be extracted
- Click on “Thing Files” and click on a file to download them individually (good for download or parts of a project).
Part 2
- Go to shapeways.com and click on “Make”
- Click “Upload a Model”
- You will need to join which you can do via Facebook, Google, or email.
- Click on “Select a File”
- Select you file (if your file came in 2 parts or more, you will need to upload them individuality
- Be sure you are uploading in millimeters and click upload
- Wait a min or so for the material list to generate your price based on the file you uploaded
- Find the material you want and add it to your cart.
- Remember you may need to repeat steps 1 – 8 for part 2 of the case
- Now just check out
